Specialist in mapping and interpretation of ore geometries and ore controls covering various types of geological environments with direct applications to mineral economics from target generation, target definition and evaluation, and project management. Co-founder and Vice President, Exploration of Talisker Exploration Services Inc. and current Director and Vice President, Corporate Development, Sable Resources Ltd. and former Chief Geoscientist, Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd.
Mr. Tinajero is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 26 years of international finance experience in, compliance, finance strategy, financial reporting, internal control and strategic planning. Mr. Tinajero has previously served as Vice-President, CFO and Corporate Controller for large, multi-national companies including United Nations, State Bank, Lafarge, Trelawney Mining, Osisko Royalties. Mr. Tinajero holds a Bachelor of Business from San Francisco University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ITESM University, he is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants, the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia and a Certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors
Outside of his duties at Talisker resources, Mr. Tinajero serves as Director for Sable Resources, and JHI Energy.
Michael (Mick) Carew
Vice President, Corporate and Strategic Development
Dr. Carew joins Talisker following seven years as a mining analyst with Haywood Securities in addition to extensive experience gained from a variety of exploration roles ranging from early-stage exploration to advanced-stage exploration resource delineation at BHP Billiton, Ivanhoe Mines and Mount Isa Mines, among others. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from Monash University and a PhD in Economic Geology from James Cook University in Australia.
Leonardo de Souza
Vice President, Exploration and Resource Development
Over 35 years’ experience in mineral exploration and 21 years in mineral resource estimation. In exploration, his majority experience is in brownfields exploration for gold and copper, having participated in the addition of over 9 Moz of gold resources in the operations of AngloGold in South America, and over 2 Moz of gold plus 4.6 Blbs of copper in resources of the Salobo project in Brazil for Anglo American. In resource estimation, Leonardo’s experience spans a range of commodities and deposit styles in a number of countries, performing resource evaluations from grassroots opportunities to feasibility studies and mining operations. Leonardo holds a Bachelor of Science from the Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil and is a Chartered Professional (CP) member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
Vice President, Sustainability and External Affairs
An accomplished mining executive with more than 25 years of experience. In addition to his work with Talisker, Michael is a Founding Partner of Falkirk Environmental Consultants Ltd. and former Chair of the Board of Ridley Terminals Inc., a Federal Crown Corporation, where he helped lead the sale in late 2019 to a consortium of US investors and the Lax Kw’alaams Band and Metlakatla First Nation. Michael was also a founder and Chairman of IDM Mining Ltd., that was acquired by Ascot Resources in 2019, and the founding CEO of Curis Resources Ltd. that was acquired by Taseko Resources in 2014. Michael has also served in senior management and/or director roles with JDS Energy and Mining Ltd., Exeter Resources, Silver Quest Resources and Heenan Blaikie LLP. He is the former President & CEO of the Mining Association of BC and Chair of the Board of the BC Institute of Technology (BCIT) and Association for Mineral Exploration BC (AME). He currently sits on several other private and public company boards of directors. Michael holds a Bachelor Science degree from Simon Fraser University, a Masters of Science in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University and is a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) with the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice.
Director of Geology
Over 30 years’ experience in the mineral exploration industry, including important research at the La Escondida deposit. He was formerly with AngloGold Ashanti Ltd., where he held the positions of Exploration Country Manager in Peru and in Colombia and Chief Geologist for the Americas exploration group. Dr. Padilla was part of the team that discovered the Colosa and Gramalote deposits in Colombia. He is a Director and President and CEO of Sable Resources Ltd., Founder and Chief Geologist for Talisker Exploration Services Inc. and a current director of Minera Alamos Inc.
Professional geologist with more than 13 years of experience in precious metals exploration in a wide range of mineral deposits. Luis has worked for various major and junior companies including five years with AngloGold Ashanti in Colombia and Brazil. He joined Talisker Exploration Services Inc. in 2011 as Senior Geologist where he worked in Mexico, Peru, Northern Ireland and Canada on behalf of the Osisko group of companies. He holds a BSc in Geology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, MSc degree from Laurentian University and a P.Geo and member in good standing of the APGO in Ontario with a temporary permit from the OGQ in Quebec.
Susan J. Mitchell
Senior financial executive with extensive experience in minerals, natural resource and clean energy sectors gained with two global banking institutions, a Fortune 400 mining company and in her own corporate finance advisory firm, S. Mitchell & Associates, LLC which she still operates. Ms. Mitchell is also currently Senior Managing Director at Mid-Market Securities LLC, a New York based investment bank. She was formerly Managing Director, Global Structured Finance, Mining, Westdeutsche Landesbank; Director, Financial Risk Management at Cyprus Amax Minerals; and Senior Manager, Corporate Finance at CIBC, Toronto. She taught Enterprise Risk Management at New York University and, in 2020, was nominated for the Trailblazer Award by Women in Mining Canada. She has contributed on Boards of several not-for-profits. Ms. Mitchell holds an undergraduate degree in International Economics and Finance from McGill University and a Masters Degree from Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management.
Brent is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in the investment private and public investments. He is the President of JDS Resources Inc., the JDS Group of Companies’ venture capital and private equity arm responsible for investment management, acquisitions, and project financing for JDS Group of Companies opportunities. Brent was the President and Co-founder of JDS Silver Inc., the owner, developer and operator of the Silvertip Mine located in Northern British Columbia. Brent managed the sale transaction of JDS Silver to Coeur Mining in Nov 2017.
Chartered Accountant with more than 35 years of experience in the mining, entertainment and real estate industries. He is the current Chairman of Nighthawk Gold Corp., a TSX listed mining company, Director and Audit Committee member of Fountain Asset Corp. and Northfield Capital Corporation, both TSX Venture listed companies and a former director, Audit Chairman and member of the Special Committee of Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. which was acquired by Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd for $338 million in 2019. He is also a director and asset manager of Orion Capital Incorporated, a Toronto-based asset management company.

Mining executive with close to 30 years’ experience in mine building and mine operations. Eric Tremblay is the current Chief Operating Officer of Dalradian Resources Inc. and the former General Manager of Canadian Malartic, Canada’s largest gold mine owned by Osisko Mining and later buy Agnico Eagle and Yamana where he played a principal role in finalizing the construction of the mine and production ramp-up. He also served as General Manager at IamGold’s for the Westwood Project, its Sleeping Giant Mine and their internal contractor Iamrock. Prior to working with IAmGold and Osisko, Mr. Tremblay worked on various other projects as a contractor on behalf of Agnico Eagle, Barrick and Placer Dome to name a few. Eric Tremblay holds a BSc. In mining engineering and mineral processing from Laval University, Quebec.
Chartered professional accountant with 15+ years of professional experience, primarily in the mining sector. Current Chief Financial Officer of Osisko Mining Inc. since June 2011, and former Chief Financial Officer and director of Oban Exploration Limited. He obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2003 and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in accounting and economics from Brock University and Western University, respectively.
